Dr. Lori L. Johnson has spent 23 years in the field of education; the past six years is an assistant professor and the Coordinator of the Elementary Master in Teaching Program at Whitworth University. Prior to that Lori has been a classroom teacher in kindergarten, first, grade, and second grade, a Reading Recovery teacher, pre-school-6th grade library media specialist, elementary literacy coach and literacy interventionist.   In 2006, Lori became a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Reading, Literacy, Language Arts.  She renewed her certification in 2016.  She holds a Washington state superintendents credential.  In the past five years Lori has published articles and co-wrote a chapter in a book.  She has presented at conferences locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
